This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • The Koda Remote iOS App available on the Apple App Store
  • The website at maximilian-sh.github.io/kodaWeb

3. App Privacy

3.1 Data We Collect

None. The Koda Remote app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

3.2 Local Data

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

  • Kodi server IP addresses and connection settings
  • App preferences and settings

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

3.3 Network Communication

The app communicates directly with your Kodi media center over your local network. No data is sent to our servers or any third parties.

4. Website Privacy

4.1 Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect technical logs including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Date and time of access

We do not use cookies. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies.

All payments and transactions are processed by Apple Inc. through the App Store. We have no access to your payment information, credit card details, or financial data.

5. Third-Party Services

  • GitHub Pages: Website hosting (USA)
  • Apple App Store: App distribution and payment processing
  • Google Fonts: Typography (fonts are loaded from Google's CDN)

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("Right to be forgotten")

Since we collect no personal data, these rights are effectively already fulfilled.

App: Data is stored locally on your device until you delete the app.
Website: Server logs are managed by GitHub according to their retention policies.
Email: Correspondence is retained as long as necessary to provide support.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
